There are major changes coming that will directly impact GEHA and Cigna patients at your dental practice. What are the changes in store, and how can your dental practice prepare now?
Changes to Cigna Network Availability
GEHA members currently have access to dental providers who are also part of Cigna’s dental network. As of recent changes, the Cigna network will no longer be available to members of GEHA at your practice. These changes are going to go into effect on January 1, 2025. Because of this change, GEHA patients will now be considered out of network at Cigna practices, which can increase their costs.
How Can You Keep Your GEHA Patients?
If you are interested in keeping your GEHA patients and don’t want to lose them due to the changing rules, you have the opportunity to apply to join the GEHA Connection Dental Network (CDN). This network will allow you to take advantage of several potential growth opportunities. The GEHA Connection Dental Network:
- Gives you access to more patients, with over 60 million GEHA members across the country
- Is one of the biggest dental plans offered by the military and federal employees and their families
- Is a well-established network that people and members trust
